September 11, 2001 was a day everyone will remember as it was the worst single event in the history of the world. Frank Dawson dedicated this memorial in memory of the people that lost their lives. Local residents have a tangible way to remember those gone to which those still here can return. Conceived by the staff at Dawson's Funeral Home, items and memorabillia were collected and buried in a vault at Riverview Cemetery. The permanent marker was placed during a ceremony on September 23, 2001. Click for larger photo |
